Raglan and Bridal Veil Falls (seriously check these photos!)

We were waiting for verification of our Real Me accounts today so we can get the bank accounts finalized and were waiting to hear back officially from the house we are hoping to rent, sooooo, we went to the beach!

Ngarunui beach was a bit overcast but gorgeous!
Black-ish sand between our toes makes me happy!! 🥰

Ok, it was straight-up raining when we got to the beach, we were all soaked and chilly – it felt very PNW-esk. But, what better time to jump in the Tasman Sea for the first time than when it’s raining! 🥰. Leif declined as politely as a 12-year-old can but Mason eventually jumped in a few waves with me as the sun started to break through the clouds.

Saw a couple tiny Bluebottle Jellies washing up on the shore! Beautiful, and thankfully no stings today.

The surfers were having a great time and the waves didn’t look too big – i’m hoping we’ll be back and all surfing sometime soon.

We had another delicious lunch at Rock-It Kitchen and then went to Bridal Veil Falls for a little tramping and photos.

Short little hike to the top, midway and the bottom! Huge falls!
From the top!

We were on the lookout for flowers, ferns, and eels as we tramped (hiked).

We’re checking the ones we find in our book Aunt April!
Hard to see, but they were over 60cm long and after this they were sliding over the rocks but we couldn’t get a video.
No swimming allowed at the bottom of the falls. 🙂

Once we got back to Hamilton, the guys took our new GoPro out to the skatepark to try a few videos.
